Six Months Home

Easter Sunday

We had a generous offer at church on Easter Sunday. Someone in our congregation offered to snap family photos for anyone interested. We jumped in line!

It's the first time - I do believe - we have taken a full out family photo since Christmas.

The kiddos enjoyed Easter baskets and an egg hunt in a newly built neighborhood park that somehow popped up over winter.

I tried to hide the eggs in fun places throughout the playground, but the wind here is ridiculous. As soon as I delicately placed them and headed off, I would feel the strong air and hear the THUD THUD THUD as they came crashing down. Oh well! Lots of Easter eggs spread out ground level still made for a good time.

Tomas Started School!

We have been talking about school with Tomas for months. It has been a motivating factor in getting him potty trained and a bit more independent (dressing himself, putting on his shoes, and zipping his coat). After several meetings with teachers and therapists, we came up with a plan. He had his first official day of school last week!

His 2nd day of school was pajama day!

He is so proud! (I mean, look at that smile!) And - truth be told - we are incredibly proud of him as well!

Can we say, it's finally spring?!

I saw this mug at a Caribou Coffee and chuckled. I think it sums up a lot of the winter blues we often feel up here!

Yay for outdoor playgrounds! Leaving out heavy coats at home! And, lots of sunshine! :)
