Friday night it rained dropping the temperature several degrees. It has been a welcome break from the heat.
We drove to the town where Tomas's foster family lives. The next few days we will make 2 round trips every day - picking him up and taking him back. It takes about 30 minutes one way. Addy and Caleb have discovered landmarks to break up the drive. When they see "the castle" they know we are close.
He was waiting for us on the front porch with his sweet little bag all packed for his day trip.
When we arrived back in Kaposvar we took him to have some pictures made for official documents.
Next we walked to the park for some fun play time.
After playing we headed to a restaurant that served special Hungarian dishes. The food was delicious. The kiddos all ordered spaghetti, but Addy preferred eating my meat and vegetable soup - it was that good!
We returned to the apartment for rest/nap/downtime. Tomas and I read books and sang songs, but it soon became clear that he was not napping today!
We put on some cartoons for the kiddos and fed them cantaloupe. Afterwards we took an evening stroll before taking him back to his foster family's home.
We were exhausted! It was a long and very fun day.
Saturday night it rained again, bringing the temperatures even lower. It is actually quite chilly.
Sunday, August 26
Tomas was ready for another adventure when we arrived on Sunday morning.
We took him to the indoor PlayPlace at McDonald's since outside was wet and drizzling. Addy, Caleb, Angel, and I had already had breakfast, so the adults ordered coffees and an egg sandwich for Tomas.

In the picture he looks unsure about it, but he ate the whole thing!
Tesco is right across the street so we made a quick run to pick up a few more things to make lunch in our apartment. There was one of these riding things - I have no idea what they are called - so everybody enjoyed a turn.
We returned to the apartment for sandwiches, cucumbers, tomatoes, and fruit followed by a rest time. Today, he napped! The trick is to get Caleb to nap with him. 😊
Super sweet. Super precious.
